White Park cattle are registered in the USA and Great Britain; Canada has no registry. RBC-owned animals are registered with the British Society. The latest Canadian animals registered with the British Society were two females in 2007. The American British White Park Association has not responded to a request for recent registration information.
Until last year, the Kerry Society of Ireland accepted registrations from US and Canadian breeders but encouraged them to register with CLRC. As of Jan 2008, they no longer accept Canadian or US registrations. However, they have agreed to recognize animals registered with CLRC and include an appendix in the Irish herd book listing CLRC-registered animals (pers. com., R. Hilliard, secretary of the Irish Society). This is a great step forward, making it much easier to register North American animals and having them recognized by the Irish Society. Breeders in Canada and the USA are now aware of each others’ activities and are working on common goals (see report on the North American Kerry meeting reported in Genesis vol. 22, #3).
The Lynch Lineback is considered a landrace and has no registry.
